海外記事より。TOOLのダニーさんのインタビューです。ドラム専門誌なのに、どうしても話をオカルトに持って行きたいインタビュアー。「個々の拍子よりも音楽のパルスを感じてプレイしている」とも。
So how about himself? Is he counting the different bars of different time signatures or is he just going by feel?
“Yeah, a lot of the times I don’t even know what time signature I’m playing” Danny admits, laughing. “I just try to feel the pulse of it, I think that’s a better way. Sometimes you want to count things out because it’s nice if the time is changing into playing the time that’s coming up over the top of a different time signature at the present moment.”
