海外記事より、NINの前座を務めたアマンダさん（ドレスデン・ドールズ）のインタビューが面白いので載せます。
TO: You opened for Nine Inch Nails a couple years ago and for Panic! At the Disco last summer. What did you get from each of those experiences?
AP: The two experiences were very different in the obvious way that Nine Inch Nails is an established, respected, older band with an incredibly honed artistic vision and no-bullshit attitude. I mean, Trent Reznor [of Nine Inch Nails] and Panic! At the Disco are at opposite ends of the “what do I want with my life” spectrum. Trent Reznor doesn’t really need any advice from anybody [laughter] and that’s reflected in the quality of the sound and the show. Panic! at the Disco are a spanking brand new band, half his age, and that also is directly manifested in the quality of the fans and the quality of the air in the venue. What was surprising is that I was very hesitant…frightened, to go on the Nine Inch Nails tour. I was afraid that we were gonna get booed and mistreated and disrespected. Conversely, when we went on the Panic! tour, I went in with this very cavalier attitude thinking that the kids would love us and it would be a piece of cake… and I had the exact opposite experience. The Nine Inch Nails fans were incredibly receptive and respectful, and the Panic! fans were generally obnoxious and mindless…text-messaging maniacs from hell [laughter]. Since they weren’t seasoned concert attenders, they didn’t understand how to listen and that was very difficult for us. It also helps that the Nine Inch Nails fans were at least twice the age of most of the Panic! fans. They had the good sense to go to the bar and hang out if they didn’t like us, whereas the Panic! At the Disco fans were too busy trying to get to the front row to snap pictures with their camera phones.
