The track strips the drums out of “March of the Pigs” and throws weird, clunky stops into the beat. It’s an unusual premiere single, but as usual, Reznor’s meticulous production work (markedly inspired lately by the DFA) is sadly buried under more of the same shitty temper-tantrum choruses found in pretty much every NIN single ever.

海外記事より。EL-Pが、トレント様とのコラボについて語っています。自分の飛行機事故の経験から生まれた曲だそうです。
The collaboration with Trent Renzor was not the first time the two hooked up. They first worked when he remixed the NIN front man’s single “Only.” After feeling the chemistry, they kept in touch and when El-P began production work on “Flyentology,” he realized that Reznor would be the perfect addition for the song.
Reznor worked on the track while on tour and emailed El-P his takes. “Trent completely surprised me by how generous he was creatively,” said El-P. “Every part I asked him to do, he did several versions of so that I could choose my favorites. It made me wonder if I were as famous as he is, if I would be that cool. I hope so.”
