IGN Music: What has been your most memorable or most fucked-up gig to date and why?
Billy Howerdel: Lollapalooza in Salt Lake City. We (APC) were on during the full day’s sun, which sucks for a band trying to create a “vibe” during its live show. Someone in the band got the great idea to go buy us all matching sneakers, khaki slacks and light blue button up collared shirts to further fuel the un-vibiness of the situation. That aesthetic, even with generous applications of V101 Goth lipstick and Danny Lohner on call for the whole show to come out on stage to touch up our “look” as needed, fell a bit short of classic. But memorable none the less.
