The ambitious Year Zero alternate reality game (ARG), a work of cross-media art involving websites, emails, phone calls, album packaging, tour t-shirts, thumb drives, music videos, murals, interactive games and live concert events with the new music of Nine Inch Nails at its core. Playing out over 10 weeks, the Year Zero ARG engaged over 2.5M participants. It started with a message hidden in the back of a concert t-shirt that lead to online websites, ultimately over 29 websites discovered over several months, 7.5M page views, 7M forum postings, 2M phone calls and thousands of original art submissions.

The 3 Cyber Lions Grand Prix went to Projector Tokyo for Uniqlo’s Uniqlock, in the Website and Interactive Campaigns category, the Online Advertising Grand Prix was awarded to Mediafront Oslo for the Scandanavian Online entry Sol Comments and 42 Entertainment Pasadena won the Viral Advertising Grand Prix for Trent Reznor/Nin’s entry, Year Zero. A total of 14 Gold, 27 Silver and 38 Bronze were also awarded.

The Seo Taeji Company recently said that, on the eve of the opening of the ETPFEST on August 14, a festival will be held in the plaza outside the baseball stadium during which Mondo Grosso, Shinichi Osawa and Clazziquai will perform for Seo Taeji’s fans.
The company also announced that it will perform with renowned U.S and Japanese artists including Marilyn Manson, The Used, Dragon Ash and Monky Majik on the day of the festival on August 15.
