Hello Friends, A glut of inquiries regarding my departure from the Marilyn Manson tour has flooded my email and social media this weekend. The reason I took this break is that the demands of my prior commitments to film & television projects have become too great to handle responsibly while touring.
Manson and I met while I was scoring the show, “CALIFORNICATION,” which he appeared in as himself. Over the course of that year we became friends and decided to make music together, which became THE PALE EMPEROR.
MM asked me to help put the new band together, and to play live to support the release of the new album, but it was understood that given Manson’s rigorous tour schedule there would come a time when I would need to exit the fold.
It was our intention from day one for Paul Wiley to assume my role as lead guitarist. He’s an excellent guitar player and also a great friend. Gil Sharone is absolutely one of the greatest drummers out there today, and everyone knows that Twiggy is not only a bass god, but he is also Manson’s true on-stage soul brother. This band totally kicks ass!
I had a great time working with these guys and everyone on the crew, and playing for all of you who caught shows with me in the line-up. For those of you who have yet to purchase THE PALE EMPEROR, please do! It’s a great album with a great story behind the making of it. I wish Manson, Paul, Twiggy and Gil, and all of you Manson fans out there, the absolute best!

やあ、みんな。マリリン・マンソン・ツアーからの俺の離脱についてのあまりに多い質問は、今週末に俺のEメールとソーシャルメディアをパンクさせた。俺がこの休暇を取った理由は、映画とテレビのプロジェクトに関する、俺の以前からの確約が、ツアー中に責任を持ちきれないほどに重大なものになってしまったからだ。
マンソンと俺は、彼が出演していた番組、「カリフォルニアケーション」を俺が作曲していた間に出会った。その年の内に俺たちは友人になり、一緒に音楽を制作することを決め、それは「ザ・ペイル・エンペラー」になった。
MMは俺に、新しいバンドを纏める手助けをして、新しいアルバムのリリースをサポートするためのライブでプレイするように依頼した、だが、マンソンの厳しいツアー計画のために、いずれは俺がグループから出る必要がある日が来ることはわかっていた。
リード・ギタリストとしての俺の役割をポール・ワイリーが引き継ぐことは、最初から俺たちの意志だった。彼は素晴らしいギタリストであり、また、親友だ。ギル・シャローンは、絶対に、今日における最も偉大なドラマーの一人であり、そして、誰もが、トゥイギーが単なるベース・ゴッドであるだけではなく、マンソンのステージにおけるソウル・ブラザーである事を知っている。このバンドは完全に無敵だ！
俺は、彼らの一員として仕事をして、そしてラインナップの一員として君たちすべてのためにショウでプレイすることを楽しんだ。まだ「ザ・ペイル・エンペラー」を買っていない人は、ぜひ手に入れてくれ！これは、その作成の背後に素晴らしいエピソードを持つ、素晴らしいアルバムだ。俺は、マンソン、ポール、トゥイギー、ギル、そして君たち、世界中のマンソンファンに最高の幸運を願っている！
