マンソンがThe AP Music Awardsを受賞しました。
雑誌オルタナティブ・プレスの主催するHR/HMジャンルのアワードである、The AP Music Awards APMAs)の、アイコン・アワードを受賞したマンソンは、授賞式で感謝のスピーチをのべました。

The Pale Emperor himself — Platinum-selling rock legend Marilyn Manson — recieved the evening’s ultimate honor, the Icon Award presented by Equal Vision Records/MerchNOW, at the 2016 Journeys Alternative Press Music Awards, Fueled by Monster Energy.
Manson was presented the award by Twiggy Ramirez, who was a longtime guitar player/partner in crime of the iconic rock star.
“Thank you to all of the fans and all of Alternative Press because this is the only award I will actually put on my shelf,” said Manson after receiving the award. “This is the greatest award ever.”
また、当日のインタビューで、マンソンは、現在制作中の新譜のタイトルが”Say10″であり、来年のバレンタインのリリースを予定している事を明かしました。謎めいたタイトルは、おそらく”Satan”（サタン＝悪魔）のアナグラムと思われます。
また、当日はトゥイギーがマンソンとの出会いについて授賞式でスピーチしたり、思わぬ見どころがありました。映像はストリーミング公開されました。
マンソンは先日、Facebookで受賞について感謝の言葉を述べています。

Marilyn Manson was on hand to receive the Icon award, previously won by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and the band X. His longtime bandmate Twiggy Ramirez presented the award recalling their friendship before he joined and how proud he was to be a (major) part of the band. The lanky gothic rocker held aloft his Skully (named for the show’s unique skull-shaped trophy) and claimed “this is the only award I will actually put on my shelf.”
