Marilyn Manson has split with his actress girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood in a dispute over her brother, according to reports today.
The goth-rocker, 38, whose real name is Brian Warner, got together with the actress in 2006, when she was just 18. At the time, he was still married to burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
The pair reportedly split up after Manson wanted to kick Wood’s brother Ira out of the couple’s guest house, which is reportedly owned by Wood.
“Evan owned the house and didn’t want her unemployed sibling living on the street,” a source reportedly told Star Magazine. “It was the tipping point. Evan was fed up with how controlling and emotionally abusive Marilyn was.”

Evan Rachel Wood is sick of the false reports circulating about why she and Marilyn Manson broke up.
“Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work. Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story,” the actress, 21, explains in a statement exclusively to PEOPLE.
Stories of the couple splitting in a bitter fight over Wood’s brother Ira, who had been living with the pair, getting kicked out of the guest house by Manson, 39, started popping up this week.
“Manson owns the house he lives in. My brother has never stayed there and the person that said such horrible things about Manson being ‘controlling’ and ‘emotionally abusive’ is certainly no source ‘close’ to me,” Woods says. “Manson has been by my side and taken care of me through the best and worst times. I love him as a person and as an artist. I will always be proud to have been a part of that.
“If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life. No further comment will be made and we request our privacy at this time.”
Manson and Wood began dating in December 2006.

Despite splitting with Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood says the rocker still holds a place in her heart.
“I’m always going to love him and respect him,” she told Usmagazine.com Sunday at Hollywood Life’s Behind the Camera Awards in Hollywood.
Asked how she is feeling, she told reporters, “I’m doing fine, you know, as best as can be expected.”

She denied reports that they called it quits after Manson kicked her brother Ira out of his guest house.
“You know, it’s not the nasty thing everybody thinks it is,” she said. “We’ve both got incredible things going on right now. He’s making an amazing album – I’ve heard some of it, and he should be very proud of it.
“You know, I’ve got [the upcoming drama] The Wrestler going on, and I’m focusing on that,” she added.
Of the split, she said, “It’s not a bad thing. It’s life – it happens.
“But now, it’s like the story that comes right after the breakup [is]: Who am I dating now?” she said. “So right now, I’m just enjoying being on my own. It’s just not in the cards right now.”
She denied reports that she is romancing Mickey Rourke, her co-star in The Wrestler.

“Everybody thinks we’re dating, and we’re not. Spread the word – I’m not dating Mickey Rourke!” she said. “You know, we developed a close friendship. He’s a great guy, a talented guy. He’s been through it all, and [we had] such intense shoots, I think, because we played father and daughter [in The Wrestler]. I think he’s just kind of trying to take me under his wing.”

Marilyn Manson Performing for Obama? Not So Fast!

We’re talking about performing for Barack Obama.
Now comes a claim from Marilyn Manson’s ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood that the wacko rocker and his bassist Twiggy Ramirez were asked by the Obama camp to perform in support of the campaign.
Problem is, it doesn’t sound like such a request was ever made. At least according to an Obama spokesperson who quickly shot down Wood’s claim, responding in an email, “That is not true.”
So what did Wood have to say about the supposed offer?
“I advised them not to do it,” Wood said last night in L.A. at the Behind the Camera Awards, presented by Hamilton and Hollywood Life magazine. “I said, ‘If you show up there, it’s not going to be good. It’s going to bring a lot of controversy, which I know you love, but Obama doesn’t need it right now.’ ”
Invitation or not, Wood thinks her ex should head to Washington in January: “Now that Obama’s been officially elected, I might call Manson and say, ‘Just go! Just go to the inauguration!’ ”
A rep for Manson did not immediately comment.
Meanwhile, Wood had much to say about another political topic – the passage of California’s Prop 8.
“I don’t want to bash religion or Christian morals, but I think if you’re an American, you should have the freedom to do whatever you want,” she said. “This whole thing really breaks my heart, considering it has to do with love. Why should there be laws telling us who we can and can’t love?”
