Book Of Eliの監督は、Year Zeroのファンのようです。
NIN組のアッティカス・ロス(12rounds)がサントラを担当するこの映画のインタビューで、監督は、映画の構想の時点で、Year ZeroのZero-Sumの歌詞を思い出したそうです。

The story brought to Albert’s mind a song by Nine Inch Nails called “Zero-Sum” that had been haunting him, especially with these lines: “Shame on us, doomed from the start / May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts / Shame on us for all we have done / And all we ever were / Just zeroes and ones.”
The brothers attempt to sing a few lines, badly, which cracks up everyone.
“The song is what made me find my way into the script,” Albert says. “I called him, and I said, ‘I get it.’ And from there we started putting this book together.”
デンゼル・ワシントンが主人公で、ゲイリー・オールドマンが敵役のようです。黙示録的な世界観に、アッティカスのサウンドが実に良く似合いますね。
