Tool’s Maynard Heads To Vegas
Tool/Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan is set to star in his first ever Las Vegas cabaret show. You’re probably not surprised, we weren’t.
Puscifer, Maynard’s side-project for the last few years, will be treating fans to a residency at the Palms in Las Vegas beginning in February 2009. But don’t think it will just be a concert. Maynard doesn’t “just do” anything.
Keenan recently spoke with ThePulseofRadio.com and revealed that this type of show is not a new venture for him – as he fronted a similar project in Los Angeles before he became famous for his music.
He says, “(I) generally started off as a name that I was attaching to some of the comedy things I was doing with (comedian) Laura Milligan at this club called Tantrum which existed in the Diamond Club on Hollywood and La Brea. (We’d) have a variety show, lots of talent coming through there just kind of trying out their new stuff.”
